The new SCANDIUM alpine shell is the latest state-of-the-art development from the Jack Wolfskin ALPINISM line, offering maximum performance at a minimum weight. The fabric used delivers the highest combined values for waterproofing and breathability currently achievable (hydrostatic head: 40,000 mm minimum; MVTR: 30,000 g/m2/24h). TEXAPORE weather protection technology makes it possible.
The 3-layer TEXAPORE HYPROOF O3 TASGRID laminate is not only extremely waterproof and exceptionally breathable; it is also significantly more supple than other 3-layer fabrics and very light. This means the SCANDIUM delivers full-bore functionality but still weighs only 410 g (size M).
Features include venting pit zips and an offset front zip, which prevents multiple zips in the layering system bunching uncomfortably at the neck.
